A Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is a tax-advantaged savings reimbursement account that allows you to set aside money for eligible expenses on a pre-tax basis. T在这里 are three kinds of FSAs available to 澳门威尼斯人网上赌场 employees:

You are eligible to contribute to a 保健服务管理局 if you are a benefit-eligible employee that:

  • Waived health coverage; OR
  • Enrolled in the PPO Plan; OR
  • Enrolled in the HSA-Eligible Plan and are not contributing to an HSA (if you are contributing to an HSA, 见下面的有限用途FSA)

If I have a 保健服务管理局 this year but do nothing during 开放登记, what happens?

Your current FSA election will not automatically roll over to the following year, so you’ll need to elect your annual contribution amount during 开放登记. You may not change your annual contribution amount after it has been elected unless you experience a corresponding qualifying event during the year.

If you do not make an active election for a 保健服务管理局 during 开放登记, then any unused funds from the current plan year will be forfeited. You will have 120 days beginning January 1st of the current plan year to submit any remaining claims for qualified services incurred in the previous plan year.

You are eligible to contribute to a 有限用途金融服务管理局 if you are a benefit-eligible employee that enrolled in the HSA-Eligible Plan and are contributing to an HSA.

You are eligible to contribute to a 受扶养人护理服务 if you are a benefit-eligible employee that:

  • Has a dependent child under age 13 that is claimed as tax-dependent; OR

Please Note: Federal non-discrimination guidelines require the University to test the 受扶养人护理服务 to ensure that highly compensated employees, 根据美国国税局指南的定义, do not disproportionately contribute to the 受扶养人护理服务. Highly compensated employees may have their FSA maximum contribution amount reduced if the test results do not meet federal guidelines.
